A beginning
It started with a text message from my friend and fellow acupuncturist Anna on Sunday 21 July this year: "I seem to have arranged with my friend in Nepal to take out a number of acupuncturists...to [his] medical post in the mountains for 4-6 weeks" Anna had spent a short time in the area in 2015, as part of a relief team doing acupuncture treatments for PTSD in the wake of the terrible earthquake. Her main contact there, Tamang Sancha, is now Medical Officer running a remote health post in Sindupalchok District, and he wants to include acupuncture as one of the treatment options for his patients.
